Step It Up International, LLC, was first established in 2005. The founder, Michael Anderson, graduated from Michigan State University in 1990 and has been working in the shoe business ever since. The initial goal of Step It Up was to be a lower-cost alternative to some of the larger wholesalers in the private label wholesale market. However, after a year or so of that business model, Step It Up sought to further expand its offerings and reach out to more customers. As a result, Step It Up began to sign licenses in which to make a name for itself as a branded footwear company. From time to time Step It Up still does do some special make ups on the private label side of things but today the primary focus of Step It Up International, LLC, is on the children's and men's licensed businesses.

Step It Up has tried their hand in several licenses over the years, however, the two licensed properties that we currently have is Bobby Jack (for the tween girl) and Loki (for the outdoor enthusiast).

BOBBY JACK
Step It Up International has been the licensee for Bobby Jack footwear since 2006. Bobby Jack is an animated monkey character created by Han Lim Lee and J&F Design. Annually the brand does approximately $100 million dollars across their core t-shirt business as well as the licensed categories. The themes of Bobby Jack revolve around things that a girl between the ages of 6 thru 12 years old can relate to and/or thinks is fun and/or cute, such as: music, candy, bubble gum, best friends, pools, beaches, and surfing (just to name a few). We use these themes and artwork provided by J&F Design and Han Lim Lee to create our fun, great-selling footwear offerings.

LOKI
Step It Up has been the licensee for Loki footwear since 2007. The Loki brand is known for creating great looking, functional and innovative outdoor gear. In keeping with the innovation that Loki outerwear possesses, we have created the patent-pending 4-in-1 Morph shoe. The Morph is unlike anything that is out there and is truly revolutionary - it is for the outdoor enthusiast that wants one shoe that does it all. We also have a great assortment of hikers, sandals and casual footwear that complement the outerwear as well as our patent pending 4-in-1 Morph.
